Public Transport System Empty Public Transport System

Ok, as stated in the news article, the Order wants to build a public transport system. This is a fairly large scale project and will take time to set-up. This will be the general discussion for the system. First off, pilots. Who is willing to be pilots for this system? There will be payment, though the Order has not worked out a financial budget for this system.

i believe this is the ship class we should use. it has one weak weapon and poses no threat. speed would need to be upgraded, but it should do the trick

well, would the ship pass, through nal'hutta?
that system is currently off limets by the authorisation of the colony defence program, and will be open once all construction is done. Untill then the ship would be escourted by fighters through that system, Hutt space that is controled by the republic would need an escourt, as it is notyet secured and not safe to travel through
I would be willing to provide 1 fighter to always escourt that ship, if i ever get my fighters.

I think the pilot should be independant when not travilling through faction space,
there should also be a series of routs, and times that ships go wear,
eventually, i would like to see un armed capital ship (like jet liners, and ocian cruse ship), that would serve as air busses or cruse ships, for vacation on the game, cruse ships!

this ship has one tiny laser, it is going to do no damage to anything. the route hasn't yet been determined, but if fighter escort is required, then I am saddened at the paranoia and mistrust the republic has. this is for use by all people and if the republic is unwilling to support galactic peace, then the Order will have to remove themselves from the treaty with the republic

It doesn't need guns... it's a neutral transport so...

And the escorts, it's just a needed precausion... we've received reports of dangerous activities down there and that region is locked down... Also due to the construction of a new military base (Nal'Hutta)...

currently there are no weaponless transports with hyperspace capabilities, so that yt will have to do. and escorts are not needed for a public transport ship. does a bus need a cop escort?

well, in other countries, like france in ww2, german military units had muiltiple cheak points nad escouts through war zones, and close to military basses.
also, off topic, we need embassies on capital planets,

it's not a matter of suggestions as a lot of people believe, it is mostly time. and france is a bad example, as it was occupied by the Nazis and was wartime. this is a gesture of peace seeing as we are not really at war yet.

well, people also cant go near military instalations in the world, so be glad we even let you in the system, also, the escourt is for the protection of other players, what if a republic officer was on that transport, or even an order jedi, and since the system is not secure a rebelion agent could swiftly fly in, destroy the ship and be on its merry way, also that ship has not hull or shields, neather do any fighters.

What ever ship your using you can charge credits depending on the journey. There should be 2 kinds of transport, 1 goes on a specfic route around the universe, the other you can go to one specific planet but it costs more credits.

the whole point is so that the ship poses no threat to anyone. it is cowardice to whoever does attack it, and no doubt whoever attacked would meet disastrous retaliation by the other two sides. now like i said, it will be going to major worlds, including homeworlds as they are popular tourist attractions.

but if the repulic is unwilling to participate in an act of peace, then i might as well join up with the rebellion as you will no longer be friends of the ORder, because it shows you are opposed to peace.

ok lets put it this way, in foregn countries, us solgers partrol highways, have cheakpoints, and escourt people, if that wasent there, do you know how many cars would be blown up on the side of the road, we are trying to make shure that all players are safe in unsecure space., if you truly dont want the escourt, i wont push it, but 1 cheakpoint is required as it is near a military instalation.

well, the cheak point is required by all ships, with the exception of, if it is republic, rules for the cheak point on nal hutta are in the nal'hutta thred under planets

so far there is no way to remove stuff from ships. for now the yt something or other is the best choice. besides, there's not even 10 active players, so passenger capacity isn't an issue
